Volunteer for BikerDown
We invite you to step UP and get involved with BikerDown! You can volunteer in several ways:
- First Responders are the front lines of BikerDown. They make initial contact with clients after a crash by phone, at the hospital, or at the client’s home. We bring a care package to the rider, learn about them and their needs, and carry out the first steps in the support process. First Responders may also provide some support services for clients during their recovery.
- Ambassadors function within their own riding groups or clubs and liaise with BikerDown to arrange for fellow riders to get or give support as needed. If a rider within your organization or your area is injured and contacts BikerDown, we will contact you to provide initial support. Ambassadors can become first responders within their area and group.
- Special Events Coordinators represent BikerDown at community events in their area and participate in the planning and implementation of fundraising events for their chapter.
- Administrative Volunteers work with the BikerDown board and staff to process membership, attend regular meetings, coordinate First Responder trainings, distribute mailings, plan events and provide other office support.
